Cuba Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) pada komputer anda

Ingin mencuba prestasi Android 3.0 Honeycomb?
Anda tidak perlu membeli Galaxy Tab 10.1 atau tablet lain untuk mencubanya kerana ia boleh dipasang pada komputer anda. Ia memberi peluang kepada anda untuk 'test drive' sama ada berminat atau tidak, menilai prestasi dan sebagainya.

Untuk memasang Android 3.0 Honeycomb pada komputer anda, sila ikut langkah di bawah:


Google has released the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) SDK to developers. Android Honeycomb packs all new UI designed specially for tablets. So if you want an early hands-on the new UI of Honeycomb then follow the step-by-step guide below to test drive Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) on your PC, Mac or Linux computer.
1. Download and install Android SDK (WindowsMac or Linux).
2. If asked download and install JDK from here.
3. After installing Android SDK run the SDK Manager.
4. Select the packages below to install:
  • Android SDK Tools, revision 9
  • Android SDK Platform-tools, revision 2
  • SDK Platform Android Honeycomb Preview, revision 1
Reject all other packages.
5. Allow the selected package to download and install.
6. Now select the Virtual devices from left pane and create a new Android Virtual Device (AVD) by clicking the New button located at top right.
  • Enter a name e.g Honeycomb
  • Choose a Target ( Android Honeycomb (Preview) – API Level Honeycomb )
  • Enter a size for the emulator SD Card or leave it empty.
  • Choose a Skin (default skin has a resolution of 1280×800 so enter a custom resolution to fit to your monitor size) or enter Resolution e.g 1024×768
  • Increase the device RAM size if you want.
  • Click Create AVD.
7. Now choose the just created AVD (Honeycomb) and click the Start button.
8. Wait for the Android Honeycomb emulator to boot.
9. Enjoy the all new tablet optimized Honeycomb!
 
Note: If you receive an error message stating “Failed to fetch url…” then you will have to force the Setup program. Follow the steps:
  • Close the “Refresh Sources” window.
  • Cancel the “Choose Packages to Install” window.
  • Select “Settings” from the left side of the “Android SDK and AVD Manager” window.
  • Check the box labeled “Force https://… sources to be fetched using http://…”
  • Click “Save and Apply”
  • Close and restart the SDK Setup program.
